Apartment Stenico is even more charming and lovely in
person than it looks on the website. The neighborhood is within
walking distance to the Colosseum and there are several buses to take
you to the other neighborhoods. There's also a fabulous gelateria a
few blocks away that's dirt cheap and incredible. Mrs. Stenico is also
fantastic. You'll love her.

Re: Florence- B&B Dei Mori
The location is unbeatable!
The hosts are friendly, helpful and flexible.
The breakfasts were delicious and they never ran out of coffee.
We truly enjoyed waking up to the sound of the bells at the Duomo, and
then eating breakfast out on the balcony.
The rooms were filled with character (who ever saw thicker walls?) yet
had modern bathrooms - a win/win combination!
Re: Rome B&B Trastevere
We felt quite fortunate to be in Trastevere. Rome can be a
bit overwhelming, so it was pleasant to have an ancient neighborhood to
explore and enjoy away from the crowds. Yet Trastevere is close
enough so that we could walk over to the center of Rome, or take the
convenient trolley back and forth. Our room had airconditioning, which
was important during the heat wave. We ate breakfast out on a patio.
Our host has quite an eye for decorating and color - we found ourselves
lingering over breakfast in order to enjoy her home.

It has been a wonderful, wonderful week in Rome. If you are not already in love, you definitely will be here! We enjoyed the location of the apartment very much. The day we visited Piaza di Spagna we were so happy to return to "our" home... A little too many tourist at one place. In this place we have been among the locals, which has been just the way we wanted...Even though they have sometimes smiled friendly at our italian, as we tried to buy food and cheese and vegetables.
We hope to see you next year - we definitely have to come back to this wonderful place.

We have enjoyed our trip to Oriolo Romano.
We have visited several nearby towns and have learned a lot about this part
of Italy.

Our girls would like to return some days; they like being in the countryside
and seeing the animals up close.
They especially liked Bracciano because of the many different gelato flavors.
They were fascinated with the castle, and the story of Paolo e Isabella.
