The house accommodates up to 4 people. It is spectacularly and privately located some 4km from the village of Strada in Casentino, 9km from the hill town of Poppi and about an hour from Florence.

There is a 12 meter swimming pool (L shaped) together with extensive sun terraces furnished with hardwood sun beds, tables and chairs. This would be for your and the owners use only – the owners tend only to use the pool for a quick dip from time to time.

The views from the property are awe inspiring and the whole house is wonderfully located in the middle of an acre of wooded grounds which slope towards a rushing stream. The position of the property is spectacular, nestled into Tuscany's hills- the whole atmosphere of the place is one of tranquillity and utter relaxation.

There are beautiful country walks through the wooded Tuscan countryside, many hill villages to explore and picturesque towns to visit. Florence, Arezzo and Siena can easily be visited in a day. Strada, the local village, is fascinating and charming with its ancient market piazza, beautiful castle, boulder-strewn river and narrow winding streets that hold a wide variety of shops and cafes.

The owners are pleased to recommend local restaurants where you can enjoy local Tuscan Cuisine and wines at reasonable prices.


The recently decorated and totally refurbished accommodation comprises the following.
* Very large living room elegantly and comfortably furnished with sofa, chairs and other furniture. There is a woodburning stove for the cooler evenings, satellite TV with DVD and a ‘surround sound’ system – the owners are pleased to loan DVD discs from the wide selection they have available. There is also a CD playing facility. The flooring is in Tuscan tiles with rugs.
There is a sofa – bed in this room which can convert into a very comfortable sleeping arrangement.

* The kitchen area is superb – all new and beautifully fitted with microwave, full size stove and ‘built in’ oven, fridge / freezer, electric kettle, food processor with all the usual crockery and utensils.

* There is a dining area with solid hard wood table and chairs for 6 people.

* The bathroom is large and well fitted with a large shower cubicle, WC, bidet, shower, and hand wash basin with mirror – again, the floor is finished with Tuscan tiles.

* The bedroom is large with solid hardwood floors. There is a double bed, table and chairs and large wardrobes.

Transport: A car is necessary.

There are also local transportation services towards Strada e Cetica; these companies do TAXI service as well.
