Walks and Monuments in Central
Rome:
The whole list would be too long...so we'll give you just a few tips:
St Peter's, the square, the church, the Cappella Sistina and the Vatican
Museums.
We like walking in the square at night. Amazing. The church, the Cappella Sistina
and the Vatican Museums are all right there.
Walk around
Piazza Navona
The whole area around Piazza Navona and the Pantheon is beautiful for evening
and night walks... have an ice cream!
Be aware the bars and cafes on Piazza Navona (those right on the square) can be really
expensive.
Piazza Venezia, the Forums and the Coliseum
Piazza Navona walk on Corso Vittorio Emanuele to
Largo Argentina. Then reach Piazza Venezia. There you will find "Il Vittoriano",
a huge white monument, from which you can enjoy the most beautiful view of Rome.
Entrance is free. In The lower terrace there is a nice coffee bar.
Campidoglio
From Piazza Venezia you can easily reach Il Campidoglio, the town hall of Rome.
Go up the steps and find Marco Aurelio's statue and the square designed by Michelangelo.
